Meet our Flock of Angora Goats

PRECIOUS- (Pictured above) was our flock matriarch, she was born on our farm April 1st 2007 to one of our first angora goats. She quickly became a favorite, thus the name Precious, was given to her by a good friend of ours.  She was a stunning doe and as a kid placed 5th in a large class of doe kids at the National Angora Goat show at Rhinebeck NY. Five years later we took her back to show and she placed 2nd in another very large class of aged does.  She had many beautiful kids for us, mostly bucks that we didn’t keep, in 2016 she had her last kids, a set of twins, a buck, and doe. Sadly, we unexpectedly lost Precious August 30th 2016, Her doe kid didn’t survive the loss of her dam, but Jumunji the buck was kept in hopes of keeping her line alive. Her memory will be forever with us and her antics will be sorely missed in the barn.
